It is also effective, effortless and free. There are several benefits of learning English through movies. Firstly, it’s entertaining and kids will enjoy learning through their favorite cartoons. Secondly, movies provide authentic and varied English. By watching movies, kids can learn the use of English in real-life situations, which is more practical and interesting as they can easily apply what they learn into their daily life.  Finally, it naturally develops kids’ English listening and speaking skills.  Children absorb everything around them rapidly and easily, especially language. This is why watching English movies enables them to naturally learn the language, firstly to listen and speak like a native.

　　Plenty of popular movies have lessons such as gratitude, humility, and integrity embedded in their story lines. If you're concerned that self-absorption, immediate gratification, and lack of empathy seem to be the prevailing characteristics of today's digital kids, these movies are the perfect solution.

　　The Lion King is one of the top educational movies for kids to learn about honor and responsibility. It also gives out a strong message that no matter how hard the journey, one can still find a way back to the destination.

　　Kids are more vulnerable to the content they watch since they lack the filters necessary for discriminating between right and wrong.

　　One impact these movies is the increase of violent behavior among young people. For instance, the US has experienced the highest cases of school shootings coming from young boys. It is in the movies they interact with where they watch shootings and vilolent behavior.

　　Additionally, when children get exposed to violent movies, they develop a false sense of insecurity in the real world. Some of them start screaming in their dreams，or develop the fear of walking out at night alone. Such an exaggerated feeling of insecurity would negatively affect children's mental health.
