Because compulsory education is imperative to achieve equality in educational opportunities among the whole population. An effort should be made to ensure all children between thele age of 5 and 15 years attend some form of schooling.

　　解析：

　　“ because＂引导的是原因状语从句，而后面一句则是主句。本应在原因状语从句和主句之间用逗号隔开，而本错句用了句号，使得“ because”引导的从句成了孤立出来的一部分，没有着落。雅思考官判定为缺乏主句，从而丢分。

　　Compulsory schooling is necessary nowadays, no matter in developed countries or developing countries. 　　①两个用逗号隔开的句子其实是并列句，在第一章第二节讲过并列句之间必须要用并列连词连接，否则就是错句。

　　改正方法:在两个并列分之间加上相应的并列连词;

　　②＂ all day along”的笔误。

　　结果是，孩子们只有更少的时间来跟朋友们交流，因为他们一整天都坐在电脑前面。

　　×错误范例2

　　Staring at computer screen all the times may rise the rate of short-sightedness, more and more children have to wear thick glasses.

　　解析：

　　①笔误要避免，应是“all the time”，记住：错误越少，分数越高；

　　②“rise＂是不及物动词，后面不能跟宾语，要改成相应的及物动词；

　　③逗号前面的句子和逗号后面的句子同样是并列句，所以必须用并列连词或者副词连接，但标点符号就要变成分号或者句号。
