  第一次吃某个食物

  Talk about the first occasion you ate a food You should say:

  When you ate it What the food was Where you ate it

  and explain how you felt about it

  I’d like to talk about a popular traditional Thai dishes, Tom Yum Goong, a hot and sour soup made with prawns and fresh vegetables. The first time I ate Tom Yum Goong was three years ago when I went to Chiang Mai, Thailand, to do volunteer work. The hostess of my homestay welcomed me and made me remember it deeply.

  The soup is full of herbal flavors and vibrant colors, with sweet, spicy, and sour notes. It uses a broth infused with the vibrant flavors of lime, galangal, and lemongrass as the base. On top, the sweet and smoky Chile jam is added to enhance the taste further. Finally, fresh, plump prawns and mushrooms complete the bowl.

  This soup is incredibly easy and quick to make. It only appears to be challenging to make. The hostess taught me how to cook and showed me her secret recipe. Apart from Tom Yum Goong, the hostess also prepared much traditional Thai food, for example, pad Thai, Som Tam, and Mango Sticky rice.

  Tom Yum Goong is considered a staple in almost every Thai household. The soup’s name comes from “tom,” which means boiling, and “yum,” which means Thai salad, so technically, Tom Yum Goong is a boiled salad. I am a foodie person, and I like to try new foods. Thai cuisine is unique and like no other in the world. I love Tom Yum Goong because it is full of flavor, sour, salty, and a bit sweet.
