托福独立写作常见考题类型之一：同意反对型
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement？
【A sentence or sentences that present an issue】
The food we ate in the past was healthier than the food today.
Patience is usually not a good strategy. We should take action now rather than later.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

托福独立写作常见考题类型之二：选择较优型
这类试题的核心是do you prefer to …或者是which of the following… 等带有选择性的词组。
1、二选一类型：When you are assigned an important presentation for work or school，do you prefer to work on it right away or wait until you have a good idea？
2、三选一类型：Which of the following three factors that contributes the most to an enjoyable vacation？a.good location b.good friends to travel with
3、“不定项”选择：In your opinion，what is the most important characteristic that a person needs to have in order to be successful in his/her life,for example,honesty,intelligence,or a sence of humor？与前面“二选类型”和“三选一”类型这种“定项”选择（一定要选择试题中选项）不同的是，这类“不定项”选择试题既能写试题中提供的选项，如honesty,intelligence或者 a sence of humor，又能写试题中没有提供的选项，如critical thinking,open mind,passion等。以critical thinking（批判性思考）为例，文章可以论证批判性思考帮助个人深刻分析问题（insightfully analyze problems）、聚焦正确目标（concentrate on right targets）以及做出明智和谨慎决定（make wise and prudent decisions）的作用。
